AMAZON – Q4 EUROPEAN DISPLAY INSTALLATION

THE CHALLENGE

To deliver the ultimate experience to consumers, by developing interactive displays that illustrated the entire device line up, including Echo, Fire TV, Fire Tablet, Kindle, Blink and Ring. Amazon wanted potential consumers to be able to try the latest amazon devices in stores as fast as they could find them online, creating a seamless multichannel experience.
Our challenge was to install complex display technology including LCD monitors, tablets, bespoke media player, In-Vue security and Amazon demo product devices.

THE SOLUTION

Our solution for Amazon covered installation, updates, maintenance, and logistics. Of particular importance to Amazon was our ability to provide a centrally managed solution giving global control across multiple countries, whilst leveraging local expertise through our in-country project management and installation resources.

 

  • People. High quality Project Managers and POP installers with technical skillsets and experience. For projects in France and Germany, project managers were deployed to work in-country for faster and more direct communication.
  • Technical Specialist. Assigned to work with the manufacturer to understand the fixtures & technology, build a knowledgebase on the range of existing displays, lead training program for program delivery.
  • Training. Comprehensive training delivered at multiple levels across the countries involved. Covering awareness, knowledge and understanding of all facets of the project; Amazon brand ethos, personnel and structure, Amazon product, physical displays and tech, protocols for working in-store, and reporting systems and processes.
  • Estate Management System. Online database for store and display related data; vital for the project to run smoothly with number of stakeholders and giving lifelong estate control.
  • Project Reporting System. Comprehensive online reporting dashboard, customisable by user, including overview of project progress, compliance performance, full store report, photos. Customised by region for Amazon market teams
  • Inventory Management System. Ongoing control of stockholding spread across multiple territories, all parts catalogued with codes and photo into the database.
  • Helpdesk Ticket System. A multi-lingual ticket management system for maintenance issues. Inbound tickets are diagnosed and managed to close out.
